Presently, the way that Facebook handles links to external images is that they put a layer in between your browser and the image being fetched. Facebook uses the following script to fetch any images which you embed into your notes:
http://www.facebook.com/safe_image.php
This script fetches your Facebook counter and then displays it to the world. The result of this is that you do not get the IP number of the user who is viewing your counter. What you do get is the IP number of the Facebook server which has fetched the counter image.
When you look at your Facebook hits, you'll also see a link to the following page:
http://www.facebook.com/externalhit_uatext.php , which explains a little more about how Facebook handles external content.
So, basically what this means is that you can track how many views your notes are getting, but, for the time being, you'll be unable to see exactly where those hits are coming from. This is a restriction put in place by Facebook and is not a problem with the WunderCounter.
